The inside of my vagina feels gritty?

I was just experimenting and when I put my finger inside my vagina and felt around it felt a bit gritty like there was a few grains of sand in there but they didn't move around and I haven't been to the beach recently. I'm a virgin so it's not an STD. Does anyone know what it is?
